Dramaturgy and Me

1. Your year/classification and major/focus.
1. This is my 4th year at Sam. I am senior Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design, Technical Direction, and Sound Design.
2. Why you are taking this class.
1. I am taking this class because it will substitute for Theory/Crit and I need to research Lucy anyways so it works out wonderfully.
3. How you might be able to apply what you learn in this course to the upcoming year(s).
1. I will learn what is means to be a dramaturg and what dramaturgy consists of. I will learn wonderful research strategies that will help me in the future as I do my research for my show designs. 
4. Any previous experience with dramaturgy or dramaturgs.
1. The only previous experiences that I have with dramaturgy is a small amount of show research, but focused more on images than background and such. Not anywhere near as in depth as this class will be. 
5. Title of your play and playwright.
1. My play is Lucy by Damien Atkins.
